Founded in April of 2022, the McAlester Public Library Poetry Club saw a very exciting inaugural year, which included monthly open mics, 5 writing workshops, 4 featured readings by acclaimed Oklahoma poets, and a National Poetry Month writing contest judged by Club members. The 2022-2023 Annual is a celebration of that first year, with poems by members, contest winners, and guest poets, along with photos, artwork, and other images documenting our successes.
