Founded in April of 2022, the McAlester Public Library Poetry Club celebrated its second full year of events in April 2024. The year’s schedule included 4 free writing workshops, 6 featured readings by Club members, and our second year of judging the Southeastern Oklahoma Library System National Poetry Month writing contest. The 2023-2024 includes poems and photographs from throughout our busy year, commemorating all the work we’ve done to bring poetry to the McAlester, Oklahoma, community!
